SHORTNESS OF BREATHING CAUSED BY PLEUROPERICARDIAL EFFUSION & ASCITIES DUE TO IDIOPATHIC CIRRHOSIS OF LIVER
Abstract
Plural effusion is an abnormal accumulation of fluid in pleural space as a result of excessive exudation or transudation from pleural surface for diagnosis purpose pleural effusion can be divided in to transudate and'exudates. Transudate have Proteins 3gm/dI and LDH is < 200 iu/dl, Fluid/Serum LDH ratio < 0.5 & Specific gravity is < 1.016, transu-date develops due to increased hydrostatic pressure are reduced oncotic pressure due to hypoal-buminemia, it is caused by cirrhosis of Liver.
