MASSIVE HEMOTHORAX DUE TO PENETRATING CHEST TRAUMA: TREATED BY MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY
Abstract
Penetrating chest trauma may be associated by massive hemothorax. Exploratory Thoracotomy is the standard of care. In exceptional cases minimally invasive approach can be life saving. We report a case where this approach was chosen primarily. Right IMA injury was the cause of bleeding into the right pleural cavity.
