Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB). Usually, the lungs infected by MTB are called pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) though tuberculosis can infect other parts of the body and such TB is called extra pulmonary TB.
